Career Planners can assist with your career planning, training and job placement needs. Service options include  Apprenticeships, Career Planning, GED\HSED, High School Completion, Job Placement Assistance, Funding for School, Skills Training, Transportation, and On the Job Training*   Eligibility: aged 16 to 24; Out of school or out of work: Willingness to improve your career and your FUTURE!​

Independent Living Program

Transitioning from youth to adulthood is hard. Let us help you achieve independence. We can provide assistance with: housing, education, employment, transportation, medical and financial needs. Eligibility ages 18 to 21; were in foster care or other out of home setting at 17 1/2 (group home, residential facility, shelter care); entered court-ordered kinship care or a guardianship placement, or were adopted after the age of 16

Work Permits

Work permits for minors 15-years old or younger can only be obtained online at: https://dwd.wisconsin.gov/er/laborstandards/workpermit/

What to have ready when you apply online: You’ll need the minor's birth certificate or other proof of age, the minor's social security card, and a letter from the employer (on company letterhead) expressing intent to hire, with description of job duties and hours of work. Also, provide a written parents’ consent and a $10.00 permit fee (to be refunded by employer).
