Job Center of Wisconsin VIRTUAL WORKSHOP
Strategies for the 40+ Job Seeker
The "older worker" (defined by the EEOC as age 40 plus) is an important and valuable participant in today's labor market. Older workers have both expertise and knowledge, and are often the best leaders, problem-solvers, and future thinkers in the workplace! How do you market your skills? How do you answer the question, "Where do you want to be in five years?" How do you sell your experience to employers, without showing your age? We'll talk about the stereotypes about older workers and how YOU can silence them in your application, resume, and interviews.
