Senior Workers

If you’re 55+ and are in need of work placement to pay your bills, GWAAR and SCSEP have the resources to help you. People 55+ can learn new skills from these organizations through community service and work-based training programs.

  • Eligible participants are:

    -Low-income (not more than 125% of the established federal poverty guidelines)

    -Persons at least 55 years of age

    -Are unemployed and have poor employment prospects

    -Participants come from all walks of life, have diverse work experiences, and possess various levels of education

  • The Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources, Inc., is a nonprofit agency committed to supporting the successful delivery of aging programs and services in 70 counties and 11 tribes in Wisconsin. They provide aging lead agencies in our service area with training, technical assistance, and advocacy to ensure the availability and quality of programs and services to meet the changing needs of older people in Wisconsin.

    The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service and work-based training program for older workers. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides subsidized, service-based training
