Presents the appropriate way to email your resume and cover letter and demonstrates methods of copying and pasting a resume into online applications. Participants learn how and when to use plain text formatting and how to convert their documents.  Effective email addressing is discussed. Strategies for completing online applications are presented.

Helping Your Child Choose a Career

Parents have the greatest influence on the educational and occupational choices made by young adults. First, they have the greatest interest in helping their children achieve their career goals. they also have the fullest understanding of their children's interests, abilities, personality, and work values. This presentaton will provide them with tools to use when "Helping Your Child Choose a Career".

What does your profile say about you? It's a harsh reality that you will be judged for the rest of your life by everybody you come in contact with; your appearance, handshake, phone etiquette, even your presence online. So how can you use this judgement to your advantage, especially when it comes to finding your perfect career or job? This presentation will provide what you should do for success and plenty of real-life mistakes that people commonly make to their detriment. Be prepared to laugh, be surprised, but most importantly, to take a long look in the mirror at yourself.
