Education and Training: A national
leader in workforce development administering
the Wisconsin Works welfare replacement program.
Through sub-contracts with local organizations,
Arbor Education and Training provides case management
services, childcare assistance and Children First
programs.
AFL-CIO: A subcontracting agency that works
with dislocated workers from union represented
shops to help these workers find jobs and job
training opportunities.
Kaiser
Group: A subcontracting agency that provides
employment and training services, such as case
management and placement to dislocated workers,
Food Stamp Recipients and Children First Program
participants. They also conduct job search and
job readiness workshops.
Second Chance Partners
For Education: Acts as
a catalyst to create and nurture mutually
beneficial relationships between member
school districts (K- 12), businesses, professional
organizations and the community at large.
The Second Chance Youth Apprentice Program offers an educational option that provides students with an opportunity to earn their high school diploma through an integrated learning experience linking academic learning with real world applications.
Waukesha
County Department of Health and Human Services:
Determines eligibility for W-2, Medical
Assistance, Food Stamps and BadgerCare for
those in need. They also work with able-bodied
persons who are receiving public assistance
to find jobs and training opportunities.
Clients receive assessments and evaluation
to help prepare them for work.
Waukesha
County Economic Development Corporation:
WCEDC promotes the economic health of
Waukesha County by providing information,
marketing and financial resources to businesses
located in, expanding within or considering
a location here. WCEDC's services include
a database of business parks, a revolving
loan fund, labor force demographics and
ongoing surveys of business needs.

and Industry Services
WCTC Business and Industry Services Department
provides customized services and training
services to area businesses.
- Community
Career Center
Through the services of the Community
Career Center, WCTC provides career counseling
and resume assistance and also serves
as a testing site for ASSET, HSED and
GED, as well as apprenticeship testing.
- Student
Employment Services and Co-op
Through the Student Employment Services
and Co-op Departments, WCTC offers graduates
and students of WCTC help in securing
internships and permanent employment.
Wisconsin Job Service: Provides
labor exchange services and operates the
Job Information Center, which includes the
JobNet system. They also provide case management
services for veterans. Job Service is responsible
for managing the Order Services Unit, which
includes assisting employers in placing
job orders into the JobNet system and alerting
them to the services available through the
WDC. Job Service also provides workshops
for mature workers and UI claimants.
- Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards:
Responsible for setting up and monitoring
employer apprenticeship contracts throughout
the region.
- Bureau of Workforce Information:
Local economist provides labor market
information for employers and job seekers.
- Division of Vocational Rehabilitation:
A federal/state program which provides
employment services to people with disabilities.

federal/state program designed to obtain,
maintain and improve employment for people
with disabilities by working with VR consumers,
employers and other partners.
Milwaukee
Area Technical College: Involved
in workforce development linking both employers
and job seekers to the full range of the
College's services. In addition, MATC's
Division of Continuing Education and Workforce
Development provides customized training
and technical assistance to local business
and industry.
Ozaukee
County Department of Social Services:
Administers the W-2 and related programs.
It works in partnership with the employer
by providing entry-level workers who have,
and continue to receive, intensive case
management services.

business and industry.
The
Threshold Incorporated: Provided
programs for children and adults with autism
and developmental disabilities since 1976.
Threshold, Inc. provides early intervention,
educational, residential and vocational
services.
Washington
County Department of Social Services:
Promotes self-sufficiency and participates
in the development of supportive services
that enhance the well-being within the community.
The goal is to connect people with appropriate
work or work-training as soon as possible
through the use of Community Service Jobs
and Trial Jobs. In addition, Social Services
works in tandem with Center staff to actively
place participants in employment situations.
